Marina Breeze- Lounge Bar
|
“Marina
Breeze” is located on the eastern side of Limassol Marina, it is an
all-day restaurant-cafe-bar and belongs to the “Breeze Group”. It
is the only almost floating dining venue in Limassol Marina, since
its terrace is literally on stilts and “floats” in the sea, with
an excellent view of the luxurious settlement “The Island Villas”
and the yachts.

It is an ideal choice for
everyday outings but also for festive days, as the chef and his team
ensure that they serve a different menu and make these days truly
special.

| Christmas at “Marina Breeze” |
“Marina Breeze” introduces
itself as a place where we can enjoy a rich brunch, fresh juices,
aromatic coffees, cocktails, and selected dishes from international
cuisine with the addition of characteristic Cypriot products, in the
company of customers, friends and family.

The aim for its owners is
to offer high quality and satisfaction, so that their customers
combine “Marina Breeze” with memories of enjoying flavors and
moments of relaxation and return again.

| Tempura prawns |
Unfortunately we were not able
to try the New Year's menu, the reservations for New Year's Eve were
sold out, but we went one afternoon for lunch and tried for
appetizers tempura prawns, fried prawns with mango, wasabi
mayonnaise, rocket and sweet chili sauce, and calypso octopus,
grilled Moroccan octopus, with fava beans, caramelized onions, fried
capers, crispy leek and aromatic oil.
 |
| Salad with
grilled falafel, green salad, cucumber,
avocado and hummus |
For salad we took the one with
grilled falafel, cherry tomatoes, mixed green salad, cucumber,
avocado and hummus.
 |
| Homemade ravioli
stuffed with mushrooms and parmesan |
 |
| Caramelized
pancetta with green apple puree and commandaria sauce |
We tried the homemade ravioli
stuffed with mushrooms and parmesan, as well as the caramelized
pancetta with green apple puree and commandaria sauce.
 |
| Chocolate
temptation |
We couldn’t leave without
dessert to complete this delicious fiesta, so we ordered the
chocolate temptation, which perhaps should have been written in
capital letters to match the description with its top taste, a
homemade moist chocolate cake, gushing from the inside of the dessert
like lava of delight from a volcano of flavors and accompanied by
Madagascar vanilla ice cream.
 |
| Tropical kiwi fusion |
We also ordered the tropical
kiwi fusion, homemade eclairs, filled with Aegina pistachio pastry
cream, kiwi, mango and forest fruit sauce, kiwi whipped cream, Aegina
pistachio cookies, mango and passion fruit ice cream. A tropical
paradise of exotic flavors!!! Just from the description I think I
have tickled your palate to try them. Of course a picture is worth a
thousand words so see the pictures to be convinced.

| The chef Mr. Christos Christodoulou and the sous chef Mrs.
Ioanna Arapoglou |
We managed to meet the
restaurant's chef Mr. Christos Christodoulou and the sous chef Mrs.
Ioanna Arapoglou and so we congratulated them personally for the
wonderful dishes they prepared for us and took the opportunity to ask
them about the secret of their success.
They emphasized to us that
there are mainly two directions that they try to emphasize when
creating each new menu. The first and most important thing they
insist on is the quality of the raw material, they buy fresh fish and
seafood from a Limassol fisherman, fresh vegetables from the region
and good quality meats and the second is that they try to prefer
local products, such as commandaria, fava beans and Aegina pistachios
in this menu, to introduce local products to foreign visitors and
help them get to know the tradition and culture of the island better
through tasting its goods. But because Cyprus is at a crossroads of
cultures, they have created a menu with influences from international
cuisine, so they have included flavors of the East, such as falafel
and hummus, of the Far East, such as the huge variety of sushi, but
also of European and mainly French cuisine.
We see them communicating
easily with their eyes alone, they are a couple in life and not only
in the kitchen of “Marina Breeze”, so perhaps this is another
component of their success. We will visit Limassol and “Marina
Breeze” again, because we still have many dishes to try! We highly
recommend it!
